travelling to northern ontario

oh hey.
so I got back from ontario over a week ago, but have not updated in a while.
this is a card I made for a friend's birthday, she thinks elephants are pretty rad.

so I drove back to ontario with my roomie, her partner and our puppies!

20 hours in a car is a long time.

arrived in sudbury christmas eve. christmas morning:

Had a good visit with family and friends.
Volunteered at the wildlife centre:

 gull with a wing injury - requiring physiotherapy a couple times a day.

 fox recovering from mange - as you can see - still working on growing back his fur!

 baby snapping turtle! just a hatchling!

 pileated woodpecker, one of the larger species of woodpeckers!

and a walk along the snow mobile trails around copper cliff. a cold and lonely place.

 finally, my family agreed to a vegan christmas and new years dinner, so we went a little fancy:)

packing to leave - Jake being sad looking as usual.

arriving back in halifax - jake was pretty tired after the ride!

back home, jake wearing one of laura's hats.

Now back to preparing a presentation for tomorrow: 15 minutes on a literature review. ughhhh. I wish I felt more motivated to do it, the winter is getting to me. I need sunshine.
