as some of you may know, I moved recently. my new place is awesome, cool roommates and I dig it. we are closer to the commons and a nicer area of town, and we even have a backyard. my room is small (compared to the last which was way too big), but I've made it fun!

I've been slow on stretching my ears. at 2 inches right now, but that's about to change, since a friend from montreal just sent some stunning jewellery:
went to a show on friday. didn't know many folks, but it was alright. I'm becoming okay with standing alone and not talking to folks, whereas before I would have left the show if that happened. I also talked to some people I didn't know and stepped outside my comfort zone. on the plus, the bands were all pretty amazing, I dig the halifax music scene a lot.
last night I went and hung out with some other grad students - something that never really happens - but it was awesome, we played catan and watched the last twilight movie - it ruled. don't judge me. hahah.
there was a 'snow storm' where we got a little bit of snow and the city pretty much shut down. kind of silly but has encouraged me to get more school work done.
